The innovative power of our team is based on long-term experience in the fields of developing optical measurement technology and its successful launch in modern series manufacturing.
Michael Krauhausen coordinates the work in the team as the contact person for our customers. Based on his long-term experience in the fields of measurement technology, he develops new ideas together with our customers which will be turned into solutions by our team.
He studied mechanical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University and came into contact with laser measurement technology during his activity at the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft. Subsequently he continued his work and has been responsible as shareholder and managing director for a company in the fields of optical measurement technology for 20 years.
Since autumn 2014, he sets up the VOLAS company together with Roland Priem and the rest of the team.
Roland Priem develops the algorithms, programs the electronic circuits and creates the software which we need for supporting our production processes. His innovations and long-term experience ensure the function and efficiency of the products developed by us.
Roland Priem studied physics at the RWTH Aachen University and cooperates with Michael Krauhausen for more than 20 years.
Kristof Hühnlein designs the mechanical components and the optical systems for the sensors manufactured by us. He monitors all steps in the assembly process and is responsible for the quality of our products before they will be shipped to our customers.
Kristof Hühnlein comes from Aschaffenburg where he obtained a masters degree in electrical and information technology. He cooperates with the other team members for more than four years.
Ralf Claßen develops circuit boards and wirings for the systems manufactured by us. Furthermore he is responsible for the production of all electronic components. During the start-phase of a new product he will be responsible for commissioning and fulfillment of performance characteristics as weel as for the optimisation of the circuits.
Ralf Claßen studied electrical engineering at the FH Aachen (University of Applied Sciences). He cooperates with the other team members for more than five years.
