Synchronisation

Synchronization1

Synchronisation isn't Just Synchronisation

In applications as for example the strip thickness measurement, the distance to the strip surface is captured simultaneously from both sides of the material. A accurate reading will only be ensured if both sensors measure absolutely synchronous.

Each sensor reports its individually calculated exposure time for the next measurement value acquisition to the evaluation electronic. The evaluation electronic calculates for each laser distance sensor the optimal start time for the next exposue. The exposure will be carried out that way that an even overlapping as symmetrical as possible will be achieved. The evaluation electronic transmits an individual impulse to each sensor for starting the exposure.

Synchronization2

Individually calculated start for the synchronous exposure of two sensors.
